Postgrad Harship Bursary

Please note: The APS Postgrad Hardship Bursary has closed for the year. Stay tuned for when this program reopens in 2024.

The APS Postgrad Hardship Bursary was established to offer support to postgraduate students experiencing financial hardship during their studies at UQ to assist with:

  • Cost of living

  • Postgraduate Career Establishment Support (e.g., publishing or conference expenses)

 
Eligibility Conditions

To apply for a APS Postgrad Hardship Bursary you must:

  • Be a current enrolled UQ student in a doctoral, masters, graduate certificate or graduate diploma program

  • Be experiencing extenuating circumstances that will impact your ability to finish the semester or study quarter. This may include, but is not limited to, the following: reduced working hours due to research obligations, end or reduction of scholarship, unforeseen disruptions to study.  Alternatively, you must be facing cost-prohibitive barriers to participating in key research-related activities.

  • Provide evidence to substantiate your claim that you are or will experience financial hardship

  • Not have applied for another UQU bursary within the same year.
